Grammar is a subjective concept. For example, American grammar differs from British grammar; this subtle difference in grammar does not make blatant grammatical errors excusable. Professional writers spend a considerable part of their time proofreading their articles. It is important to proofread all your documents at least twice, this will ensure your articles are free from obvious grammatical errors and it will help establish you as a quality writer. When it comes to spelling mistakes, it is important to be regions specific. For example, if you are writing an article for American readers, both spellings for colour are acceptable (‘colour’ and ‘color’). However, a European reader will consider ‘color’ a spelling mistake; therefore it is important to be region specific when you are writing.
