James Bond Workout - Get a Ripped Body Like 007

By: Rusty Moore

What Type of Workout Would James Bond Do?

Daniel Craig is the new icon for the ideal male body. Back in 1999, in the movie Fight Club, Brad Pitt attained the ideal physique. It has been 7 years, but I would say that James Bond might be the new role model for men to shoot for. While both have similar physiques, Daniel carries a little more muscle. For a physique like Brad Pitt, I would recommend splitting your time working out to 25% lifting and 75% cardio. The James Bond Workout would emphasize lifting more...40% lifting and 60% cardio.

The James Bond Workout Eating Schedule

James Bond is packing a bit more muscle than Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt's Character)did in Fight Club. When Daniel Craig was interviewed about his diet before Casino Royale, he said he was on a high protein diet. Brad Pitt was on the Zone Diet, before Fight Club. The Zone Diet recommends that 30% of daily caloric intake comes from protein. For the James Bond workout, I would bump that number up to 50% and cut back on carbs and fat a bit.

Tyler Durden Ate Less Calories Than James Bond

Brad Pitt was absolutely ripped in Fight Club. Judging by the sharpness of his abs and facial definition, I would say that he was around a body fat percentage of 4-6%. Daniel Craig was most likely around 8% body fat for Casino Royale. James Bond has it easy compared to Tyler Durden! Daniel got to eat quite a bit more than Brad could in preparing for his movie role. While Daniel most likely ate the standard 6 meals a day, I doubt that Brad got away with more than 3-4 super low calorie meals. James Bond had a more sustainable and realistic body in Casino Royale.

Moderate Cardio for the James Bond Workout

High Intensity Interval Training is the quickest route to burning body fat, but not the only route. When Daniel Craig was interviewed, he mentioned that he did a moderate form of cardio for 30-45 minutes in preparing for his role in Casino Royale. In my opinion he would have had an easier time getting to 8% body fat with Interval Cardio, but in reality he did a moderate form of cardio instead. So the James Bond Workout used a more traditional form of cardio.
