Boboli Gardens - a story of true love in Florence

By: Sean Clayts

If you're going to visit Florence, you can never miss a place designed by flashy bloomings and epic statues, signed by courses that guide to infinite escapades.

A turn here may take you to a stunning fountain with crystal clear water, a turn there may take you to an amphitheater.

Another turn may take you to a lake with a small island in the middle, quite unexpected in the vast greens of this secluded garden.

All paths lead to the top of the gardens and provide you a wondrous view of the most romantic city in the world.

This place is for real (only in Florence!) and it's named "Boboli Gardens".

The creator of such a beautiful place has been Cosimo de Medici.

Maybe you heard some strange stories about Cosimo de Medici and his love affairs, surrounded by a grey and violent athmosphere

A story tells that Eleonora, Cosimo's wife, died in grief for losing her son Giovanni, killed in anger by his husband

Recent studies show that Eleonora simply died for malaria.

Cosimo de Medici was almost certainly a rude man, but his wife was his only love

Eleonora was an extraordinary wife and a loving mother, and held participation to the government of the city.

Cosimo thought this garden to be enchanting like his wife, to resemble her beauty and his love.

If you come to Florence, please don't miss what the love has done in this beautiful city
