Blank Labels for Dymo 30915 Postage Printer

By: Richard Palmer

Dymo, the company that makes those lovely label printers, has teamed up with Endicia to allow us all to print postage online from our PC's. This frees us from the need to stand in line at the local Post Office and offers the convenience of stamps on demand.

To print postage online, all one needs is a computer, an internet connection, a Dymo postage printer, and a subscription to purchase postage from the Endicia website. Truly, that's it. Couldn't be simpler. So why am I spending time typing this article? There is one little hook, and you won't find any small print to enlighten you in either the Dymo printer literature or on the Endicia website..

If you have ever stood in line at the Post Office during the holidays you can relate to the delight of thinking you never have to do so again. Purchase a Dymo printer, subscribe to the Endicia website, and your on your road to postage independence. It's quick and easy to set up and your first hundred stamps makes you glow with delight as you drive by the Post Office knowing you never have to stop there again.

You will find it very satisfying to print postage online. The ability to bypass these things in life that slow us down like the Post Office is what technology is all about. Suddenly however, you find you need more blank stamps. You go to the Dymo or Endicia links to purchase more. That's when your jaw hits the floor. They want $20.49 for a roll of 200 stamps. THAT'S MORE THAN $.10 PER STAMP!!! Did you imagine in your wildest dreams that it would cost you 25% more to print your own stamps? Of course not.

I investigated on the web. Goggled everything I could think of to find an alternate product. A generic product. A compatible product. Nothing. I could not believe that if I wanted more blank media I had to give up a $20 bill on top of the price of the postage itself. My margins are small enough without giving up another 25% to the cost of shipping.

With each roll I purchased, I became more disenfranchised with my purchase of this stamp printer. I loved being able to print my own postage, but was totally depressed that all I actually accomplished was increasing my postage overhead by 25%. This was a huge number for me and my small business. I did my homework and found I could manufacture these myself. I decided that I was consuming sufficient quantities that it would be worth the investment.

I invested in the necessary hardware to facilitate the manufacture of these stamps. After working through this process, I decided to share my savings with the rest of the digital community that was having the same frustrations as myself. Anyone who wants to print postage online should be able to acquire this blank media for much less than what they are currently paying. We can get our product to the public for approximately 1/3 the cost of what they are currently paying. This includes all of our manufacturing, packaging, and even free shipping.

We manufacture our stamps in rolls of 300 stamps per roll. If you do the math, that means we sell 33% more stamps for 50% less than our competition!!!!

So if you want to print postage online, know that people are out there always searching for a better, less expensive way to meet those ends. The savings are always passed along to the consumer as that's the American Way.
